Me:

Colleen Ford. Youngest of three real sisters. Youngest of five real sisters and step sisters. Middle kid of four current step brothers and older than one ex-step brother. No attachment to hair. Attachment to style. Mutt. Mutts live longer, unless hit by a car. Culture is really a four letter word with three extra letters. Velcro and typewriters are underrated. Mayonnaise is way overrated. The words literally, lifestyle, ironic, and organic get misused too frequently. Malted milk is one of the greatest food creations. Neil Diamond guarantees a good time. Oil paint smells phenomenal. Guilty Pleasures: flea markets and crossword puzzles.

Art Work:

When the physical expressions of our lives interact with the essence of our lives, there is opportunity to create a story. Using imagery that is familiar to the viewer allows them to interpret and construct their own stories from each piece, and to build or recall memories. Mixed Media has allowed the artwork to have no limits, and encourages me to push beyond my own truths and create work with ever changing story lines.
